The Mistress of Longing: A Retreat to Honor Longing & Recollect Belonging with the Sacred Feminine

This retreat is an opportunity to experience homecoming and deepen our relationship with the Sacred that is waiting for us. We will explore the embodied and mystical portal into the greatest mystery of our time longing. Often, we are taught to reject our longing. Yet, it is the heartbeat of our creativity and the doorway to belonging. In fact, longing leads the way to our genuine and authentic expression and engaging with it can revolutionize life as we live it. This retreat will focus primarily on the sacred feminine available in the present moment, especially as she relates to longing, drawing from both mystical and practical approaches to create and appreciate a beautiful life.

We will use mindfulness, guided visualizations, writing prompts, altar building, ritual, and movement to embrace the whole and holy longing that exists within and around us in a beautiful and serene sanctuary. Fresh, organic food, a gorgeous setting, an incredible Labyrinth, and bountiful blessings await us in Costa Rica! What an auspicious way to begin 2020!

This is an opportunity to relax and reclaim what belongs to you through intention and connection to your heart, body, mind, and spirit, and equally, to the dynamic and sacred energy of the land and her generous offerings.

Wendy Havlir Cherry will share the teachings from her book, The Mistress of Longing, a love letter to and for devotion. Using mindfulness, guided visualizations, writing, and ritual, Wendy will guide participants into the inner mandala of their own wisdom and clear heart.  Anne Wilzbacher, will share her grounded and gifted knowing as a Wilderness Therapist to lead us into one of the most profound and sacred relationships we all have in common, the pulse and life force of Mother Nature.

If you desire wild abundance, farm to table food, a beautiful landscape, heartful vision, and soulful connection, this retreat is for you. Together we will create communion with the land, our hearts, our longing, and each other. We will explore movement, mindfulness, reflection, journaling, ceremony, and altar work daily. There will be plenty of free time, as well, to explore, rest, and relax on your own
